Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started on your weight loss program?

Schedule your new patient consultation by clicking the “New Patients” button at the top of the page (or in the menu if you’re viewing on a mobile device). You will meet with one of our physicians to review your health history and have your blood pressure, pulse, and weight recorded. If your doctor prescribes appetite suppressants we will go over how to take the medicine and provide additional information to help your success.

It says I need labs, what does that mean?

Per Kentucky law, we need to have your lab/blood work on file before you return for your next visit. You are welcome to bring your own from your provider. We can write an order to go to Labcorp and get them. The fee is $80, payable over 2 visits, or receive a discount of $5 if you pay in full.

I am an existing patient. Do I need to be seen by the Doctor during my follow-up appointment?

All new and existing patients must see the doctor for each visit at this time. When you arrive for your follow-up appointment you will check in for your scheduled time with our front desk staff. You will then be seen by one of our weight loss experts who will weigh you and go over your options and available products to help you on your weight loss journey. After this, you will see the doctor to check in regarding your progress and to determine if medication is still appropriate and if so, how much you will need for the next month. If you are prescribed medication at this time our nursing staff will prepare your prescription and we will answer any final questions you may have as you check out.

What excludes me from qualifying for weight loss medication?

Your Body Mass Index (BMI) must be more than 27 or body fat percentage greater than 30% in females and 25% in males. The exception to this Kentucky law is the presence of co-morbid conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, or hypertension to name a few. You will need documentation from your primary provider prior to being seen.

Patients continued failure to demonstrate weight loss and not attempt to comply with diet and exercise recommendations/changes will disqualify them.

Active patients, currently receiving medication at another clinic will not qualify.

What payments do you accept?

In addition to cash and credit cards we also offer patients Care Credit. You can apply for Care Credit before your clinic visit. All fees for medication and office visits will be collected at your visit.

Are Walk-Ins accepted?

Yes! We are currently accepting walk-ins for existing patients. New patients should schedule an initial consultation on the New Patient Information page.
